Tide Pools

On our way to San Diego we decided to break up the drive a bit and stop at the tide pools at Dana Point. My balance and coordination is definitely not at its best, leaving Johnny to search for things to show us (I know he should not have picked up the star fish, but. . .)

A Blast from the Past

when Johnny was younger, his parents befriended a refugee from Cambodia named, Pang. Pang lived with them and Johnny sort of viwed him as an older brother of sorts. Well, they lost touch after his Mom died and about a month ago Pang (now Peter) found Johnny's little brother on facebook- sowhile we were in home-we met up with his family after almost 19 years-at Rose Hills

Irvine Park

So on Thursday I had decided with my Mom and Jeff's help we could venture out with the 4 kids (minus the double stroller-it would not fit) to Irvine Regional Park. The kids played, we rode the train, feed ducks, saw turtles, ate lunch and basically had a lot of fun.

I will survive

So after feeling pretty cocky about how productive I was yesterday morning- I definitely hit a wall- In the spirit of trying to maintain some sort of sense of humor- I have decided that I have this routine down to a science- yeah try caos theory (again not really sure what it that thoery really is- but I can definitley relate to the caos part) so just a quick glimpse on my afternoon-
Literally within ten minutes of reading of lil sis's email about her pina colada (virgin of course) drinking in paradise I had the following experience on the opposite end of the spectrum-

I scoop cash out of his high chair to discover he has peed out of his diaper-so I go and change him-
then Eleanor poops-so I am in the process of changing her-
when Annabelle comes in to announce she accidently got some pee on her panties/jeans while using the potty-
I am finish9ing up Eleanor and Cash walks in announcing that he had just pooped and needed to be changed!
So I did what anyone would do-I ordered Chinesse for dinner! It might not be pina coloada, but it was yummy

Waffles

So it is 8:15am- I am dressed (not that I would go out in public in what I am wearing)- breakfast is done-3 of the 4 are are dressed- so whatever happens the rest of the day- I am feeling pretty good (I do though have a glimmer why people drink coffee-the kids all slept through the night-a huge deal for Cash, but man I am tired)

Pudding

As we are now in day 3 of Survivor: Garden Grove, I am figuring out the kinks in the system and the juggling of the kids-my goals are remaining simple- to survive and have some fun (oh and a chance to do my hair:) Todays activity was making pudding- after Eleanor's nap, while Cash took his nap- Annabelle and Sydney made the pudding for our treat for FHE

Cousin Time

I owed my older sister(and her husband who actually set it up) big time for cashing in points and flying me home for my Mom's 60th b-day I told them I would watch their 3 girls (8 1/2, 5, 22 mo) on Sat night so they could go on a date- It was a little crazy, but fun.

Survivor:Garden Grove

So- I only watched one season (and not that faithfully either) of Survivor, but as I face 8 days with a 5yr old, 34 mo, 23 mo, 1 yr old I am definitely feeling like I am in survivor mode-grabbing food when I get chance- showering ( still a must-but actually blow drying my hair-optional) putting on real clothes and just the basics will be put on hold until I get the schedule completely figured out. With my sister enjoying her ten year anniversary trip on a cruise, I am the mother hen. So wish me luck-
