Saturdays in September

Our Saturday routine the last few weeks is Baseball in the morning. I am helping coach an adaptive baseball team as part of the Miracle League. We are the Shriners Braves- anyway after the games the kids and I (Johnny is usual able to make the 9am game to help with the kids) head to one of the many playgrounds and then either eat a picnic or as we did the first week head to Artic Circle for some lunch and playing in the Fun Zone (aka I slept really bad the night before and was on a mission to completely exhaust my children-even though I let them have some ice cream- in an attempt to have the take long naps- and it worked!!!)

Anywhere and Everywhere

Cash continues to be on the move-unfortunately I never have my camera to capture the various places I find him (nor is it usually safe to leave him there to run and get my camera), but right after I got him out of tub and dried off I went out to the hall to grab Sydney a towel and came back to discover someone . . .

The Family is Ordained of God

Sydney as a Sunbeam particiapted in her first Primary Program. She did great-she had her line down and looked directly out to the congregation and said, The family is ordained of God" so sweet-I am so proud of her.

Calling all Superheros

Superheros to the rescue! Sydney was invited to her friend, Chloe's 5th birthday party. I have to admit as a Halloween lover I was probably more excited that Sydney was with the theme party. So excited that I even sewed! Here is the finished product oh and the card Sydney made for Chloe (I told her the letters and she wrote them by herself)

Syd's superpower? Super Princess Saving powers aka she helps princess's when they are in trouble

She Likes It!

When it comes to food I felt that Sydney (up until this following incident occurred) was truly her father's daughter in terms of what she like to eat. Fir instance a few weeks ago I made a chicken, broccoli and cheese cassarole and she took one look at it and declared, "I don't eat mixed things" so when Sydney told me that she wanted a egg for dinner like Chloe brings to school I was apprehensive. I went to my trusty cookbook to look up how to properly hard boil an egg (like you start with cold water) and decided to video the moment. Well. . .she actually liked it! I was so disappointed. For me (and Johnny too a hard boiled egg and the accompanying egg salad or deviled egg has to be in the top 20 of gross things to possible eat-taking into account a normal American based diet of course)In fact after taking less than a minute to consume the egg she asked for another!

Labor Day on the Parkway

So as I continue to train for my up comming 1/2 marathon, I decided to shake up my Monday run with a new location-The Jordan River Parkway. I should have known it was not going to be best run- we got a late start so it was already pretty warm outside, the parking lot was full. . .anyway while the run itself did not go so great it was really beautiful, but I will stick to Liberty Park.

15 months old

Where has the time gone and why hasn't the remaining baby pooch gone with it I cannot believe Cash is 15 months old. With more and more teeth coming in and jabbering up a storm he is growing up. He continues to get into everything and loves to climb. He is such a sweetheart and still enjoys to be cuddled.

Pizza Picnic at the Park

I have been trying to take advantage of the last of the late nights of summer. On Saturday with a pizza in hand we (Johnny too!!!!!) headed to Sugarhouse Park for some quality family time and of course the playground. With a trip to Baskin Robbins to end the night it was fun and I am dreading winter already!
